Over 120 Kyrgyzstanis Repatriated from Northeastern Syria

Bishkek – The Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, announced at a press conference that over 850,000 consular services have been provided throughout the year. This includes the repatriation and evacuation of Kyrgyz nationals from various countries and conflict zones.

One of the major accomplishments highlighted by the minister was the completion of the Aikol humanitarian mission. This mission resulted in the return of 121 Kyrgyz nationals, including 36 women and 85 children, from northeastern Syria. Additionally, 4 citizens of Kyrgyzstan and 18 of their relatives were evacuated from conflict zones in the Gaza Strip and Palestine.

Furthermore, efforts were made to bring back 24 underage citizens who were left without legal representatives in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Iraq. Consular visits were also organized in the United States to meet with adoptive parents of 13 adopted Kyrgyz nationals.

In terms of legal matters, a total of 116 convicted citizens were extradited back to Kyrgyzstan, including individuals from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. The government continues to work towards protecting the rights and interests of Kyrgyz nationals abroad.

Overall, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been actively engaged in providing crucial consular services to Kyrgyz nationals in need across the globe.
