
Over 3,000 Migration Regime Violations Detected in Kyrgyzstan in 2024

According to the Service for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, a total of 3,357 violations in the field of migration have been registered since the beginning of the year. The department’s press service reported that out of these violations, 2,478 involved foreign citizens who were fined a total of 14.4 million soms. This amount is 2 million soms higher than the fines issued last year. Additionally, twenty-two foreigners were deported through the court due to violations of migration laws.
Currently, there are around 120,000 foreign citizens who are temporarily residing, working, and studying in Kyrgyzstan. In the first four months of the year alone, a total of 4,657,511 people entered the country, while 4,555,599 people left the country during the same period.
These statistics highlight the importance of monitoring and enforcing migration laws to ensure the safety and security of both foreign citizens and the country as a whole. It is crucial for authorities to continue their efforts in combating illegal migration and extremism to maintain stability and order in Kyrgyzstan.
