Law Enforcement Seizes Over 9 Kilograms of Hashish in Batken Region

Law enforcement officers have successfully seized more than 9 kilograms of hashish in Batken region, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The operation was carried out following information received about a criminal group operating in Batken region, which was involved in supplying drugs from Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

The officers discovered nine briquettes wrapped in yellow tape in the courtyard of a gas station in Kara-Bak rural area, close to the border with Tajikistan. These briquettes contained a total of 9,120 grams of hashish. Further investigations revealed that the drugs belonged to a 48-year-old individual from Tajikistan, who resides in Chui region and is registered as an active member of a drug group. The suspect has been detained and placed in pretrial detention center No. 1.

Efforts are currently underway to eliminate the supply and sale of drugs in the southern regions and Bishkek through ongoing operational activities. The successful seizure of this significant amount of hashish highlights the dedication and commitment of law enforcement in combating drug trafficking in the region.
