Heavy rains in Afyonkarahisar city center led to a tragic accident as a midibus carrying passengers lost control and overturned near Susuz Town Junction. The accident left 24 people injured, sparking an investigation by the police.
The incident took place near Susuz Town Junction, where the midibus, heading towards İscehisar district with passengers from the city center, skidded off the road in the midst of heavy rain. The driver of the midibus has not yet been identified.
As a result of skidding off the road, the midibus crossed into the opposite lane and tumbled down the embankment, causing injuries to 24 individuals in the market area. Emergency medical and police teams were quickly dispatched to the scene upon receiving reports from other drivers, and the injured were promptly transported to the hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, it was reported that the injured individuals were in stable condition.
Following the accident, the police launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the midibus overturning.
