
Öykü Gürman to give voice to discontented women in new film project

The cast of the new movie “Grabuna”, produced by Çekirdek Production Alper Aksoy, recently came together for a press conference. The film, with its intriguing storyline, has been gaining a lot of attention. The screenplay was written by Ergin Kilikçıer, and Tolga Savu directed the film.
Öykü Gürman and Hakan Akgün are the lead actors in the film, alongside Bahtiyar Engin, Kaan Yılmaz, Mehtap Bayri, Ramiz Mullamusa, Ergin Kilikçıer, and Özlem Gezgin. At the press conference, Mehtap Bayri revealed that the movie is essentially a women’s drama and would give voice to women’s issues. Öykü Gürman added that, although she did not sing in the movie, the entire cast had celebrated behind the scenes and had a lot of fun.
During the filming of “Grabuna”, Öykü Gürman and the rest of the cast spent time in the village of Keşan. They even adopted a stray dog and distributed baby food to those in need. They also made time to visit village schools and celebrate Children’s Day with the students.
Mehtap Bayri praised the film’s producer, Alper Bey, for his gentlemanly attitude and kindness. She noted that the industry needs more producers like him.
Bahtiyar Engin mentioned that during the three weeks on set, everyone was sincere and had a fantastic time. He expressed hope that their joy would be reflected in the box office.
Hakan Akgün expressed how lucky he and Gürman were to have such good harmony with the storyline. The film tells the story of archaeologist Önder in the late 1960s, who is assigned to Grabuna town in Edirne Keşan to report on the museum’s history. While working on this task, he meets İpek and falls in love with her.
Overall, the movie “Grabuna” promises to be a must-watch for movie-goers.
