In a recent announcement by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Oktyabr Urmambetov, it was revealed that panic buttons have been installed in all schools in Bishkek. This initiative was discussed during a meeting of the Ishenim parliamentary faction.

Additionally, Urmambetov shared that surveillance cameras have been installed in almost 80 percent of schools in the capital city. With a total of 2,400 schools across the country, plans are in place to have cameras installed in all schools and kindergartens. The installation process has already begun in the regions outside of Bishkek.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that currently, there are youth liaison officers assigned to 700 schools. However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has a goal to have one inspector designated to every school in the country in the near future.
