The 2nd Year of the February 6 Earthquake: Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş Promises Swift Reconstruction
As the second year anniversary of the devastating February 6 earthquake approaches, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş has assured the public that efforts to rebuild and restore the affected areas are well underway. In a recent statement, Kurtulmuş announced that by the end of the year, 450 thousand homes, businesses, and village houses will be completed, ensuring that rightful owners receive their properties.
Already, 201 thousand 580 properties have been successfully returned to their owners, with many more in the process of reconstruction. Kurtulmuş also highlighted the restoration of numerous historical sites that were damaged in the earthquake, promising that these landmarks will be brought back to their former glory in a very short period of time.
The government’s swift action and commitment to rebuilding efforts have been met with praise and gratitude from the public.
