
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş Visits Uzbekistan

The Turkish Grand National Assembly delegation, led by Kurtulmuş’u, arrived at Urgenc Airport in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. They were welcomed by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tashkent Ufuk Ulutas, Harezm Governor Jorabek Rahimov, and other officials.
The delegation included high-ranking officials such as AK Party Group President Abdullah Guler, Turkey-Ozbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group President Osman Mesten, MHP Istanbul Deputy Ismail Faruk Aksu, AK Party Istanbul Deputy Nurettin Alan, the new party of the road Izmir deputy Mustafa Bilici, and Parliamentary Secretary General Talip Uzbekistan.
The delegation was in Uzbekistan to participate in the Parliamentary Assembly Organization of the Islamic Cooperation Organization conference with the theme “Youth as the rising star of the Turkish world: our common heritage, our common future.” The conference aimed to address issues related to the common future of the Turkish world.
In addition to attending the conference, the delegation was scheduled to participate in the 150th General Assembly of the Union of Parliament to be held in Tashkent under the theme “Parliamentary Action for Social Development and Justice.” Kurtulmuş was also expected to have bilateral meetings with counterparts and be received by the President of Uzbekistan, Şevket Mirziyoyev.
During the visit, Kurtulmuş was also set to meet with Uzbekistan business people in Tashkent. The delegation’s visit aims to strengthen ties between Turkey and Uzbekistan and enhance cooperation in various fields.
