A Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Famagusta Municipality and Ministry of National Education Vocational Technical Education Department
A cooperation protocol was signed between the Vocational Technical Education Department of the Ministry of National Education and Famagusta Municipality. The protocol aims to enhance vocational education and training in Famagusta by utilizing the workshop practices of vocational high schools within the municipality’s borders.
The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of National Education’s meeting hall, where Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu, Mayor Süleyman Uluçay, and Director of Vocational Technical Education Department Gülşen Hoca signed the protocol. According to the statement released by the Press Office of the Ministry of National Education, the protocol will be valid for 3 years from the signing date and can be extended upon mutual agreement.
Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu highlighted the importance of vocational education for the future of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and expressed his satisfaction with the steps taken in vocational education. He emphasized that the protocol will enhance workshop practices in vocational high schools, improve students’ skills, and contribute to the municipality’s social responsibility projects.
Mayor Süleyman Uluçay emphasized the expansion of common working areas between vocational high schools in Famagusta and the municipality. He expressed his gratitude towards Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu and Director Gülşen Hoca for their support in this initiative.
Director Gülşen Hoca stressed the significance of introducing students to real business life and fostering relationships with local institutions. He praised Famagusta Municipality for its strong support of vocational education, including apprenticeship training and youth development initiatives.
