Passenger bus carrying 35 people overturns into ditch in Erzincan
An unfortunate accident took place at the Sakaltutan Passage of the Erzincan-Sivas highway involving a passenger bus carrying 35 people. The bus, which was reportedly transporting a corpse from Istanbul to Erzincan, rolled into a ditch causing injuries to 31 individuals onboard.
Emergency response teams including the police, health personnel, fire brigade, and AFAD were immediately dispatched to the scene to provide assistance. The injured passengers were swiftly taken to various hospitals in Erzincan for treatment.
Erzincan Governor Hamza Aydoğdu took to social media to inform the public about the incident. According to Governor Aydoğdu, the accident occurred due to a brake explosion on the Erzincan-Refahiye highway. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the crash and all injured individuals are receiving medical attention.
