Pastry Chefs from Central Asia Create Giant 2.10-Meter-Tall Cake

A team of pastry chefs from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan has recently set a new world record for the tallest cake with a national theme. The cake, weighing 200 kilograms and standing at 2.10 meters high, was created in Dushanbe and verified by the Eurasian Rating Agency (ERA).

The impressive cake, showcasing a sweet replica of the monument to Ismail Somoni, the founder of the first Tajik state, was unveiled to the public during the Mehrgon holiday at Abulkasim Firdavsi Park. This incredible confection took four days to create and featured intricate details such as Tajikistan landmarks, national ornaments, and stylized fruits made of marshmallow.

The pastry chefs revealed that the cake required 160 eggs, 25 kilograms of sugar, 45 kilograms of sugar paste, and various other ingredients to bring it to life. The finished product, designed to feed between 100 to 200 people, was a true culinary masterpiece that coincided with World Chef’s Day and the Tajik national harvest festival, Mehrgon.

The teamwork and dedication of the pastry chefs from different countries resulted in a record-breaking cake that not only delighted the senses but also celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the region. Congratulations to the talented chefs on their incredible achievement!
