PFDK Announces Punishments for Ankaragücü and Faruk Koca
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) recently announced the decisions taken at their meeting on 14th December 2023. The penalties handed out to MKE Ankaragücü Club and Faruk Koca were revealed in a statement on the TFF’s website.
Following the events that occurred after the MKE Ankaragücü-Çaykur Rizespor match, it was announced that Faruk Koca has been sentenced to 5 years of deprivation of rights, with a permanent deprivation of rights in terms of penalties exceeding three years.
Additionally, MKE Ankaragücü has been penalized with a 2 million lira fine and will have to play 5 official matches without spectators. The club was also fined 200 thousand liras for incidents of disruptive cheering that occurred for the second time during the season.
In terms of club officials, Gülsen Yılmaz and Cengiz Gökay received warnings, while Cahit Şahin was handed a 75-day deprivation of rights and a fine of 140 thousand liras. Yusuf Buğra Tanık received a 45-day deprivation of rights and a fine of 210 thousand liras.
Furthermore, club officials Şahin Yunus Şahin and Kenan Çelikkaya were given permanent deprivation of rights, while İsmail Develi, Mücahid Osman Karabay, Burak Koca, Hakan Apaydın, and Ahmet Öztürk received warning sentences, as stated in the announcement.
