Uzbek President Congratulates UAE President on Birthday and Discusses Bilateral Cooperation
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan recently called President Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates to extend warm birthday wishes. The Uzbek President expressed his heartfelt congratulations and wished the UAE President good health, prosperity, and success in his endeavors. He also conveyed his hopes for peace and prosperity for the people of the Emirates.
During the phone call, the two leaders also exchanged greetings on the occasion of the start of the holy month of Ramadan, a significant time for the Muslim world. They discussed the strong and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE, noting the positive growth in mutual trade, as well as the presence of over 300 Emirati-funded enterprises in Uzbekistan.
The leaders highlighted the importance of ongoing joint projects, which total over $4 billion in investment across various sectors such as technology, energy, agriculture, tourism, IT, and infrastructure. They reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing practical cooperation in all areas and emphasized the need for careful preparation of upcoming summit meetings to further strengthen bilateral ties.
