Police Officer Sentenced to 9 Years for Fatal Beating at Bekabad Station
The death of 43-year-old Dilmurod Yusupvaliev at the Bekabad city police station has been confirmed to be the result of injuries inflicted by a police officer. The officer responsible was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm and exceeding his official authority and has been sentenced to 9 years in prison. The tragic incident took place at the Bekabad city police station, where a police officer fatally beat a citizen. On June 19, 2024, Murodullaev assaulted Dilmurod Yusupvaliev, causing severe injuries that led to his death.
Despite there being no legal basis for their detention, Murodullaev forced Dilmurod and his brother Dilshod into a holding cell, where further violence ensued. Dilmurod tragically died from his injuries, while Dilshod also suffered physical harm from the officer’s actions.
During the trial, Murodullaev denied the charges but was ultimately found guilty based on witness testimonies and evidence.
