Police seize 35 kilograms of drugs from suspects in Toktogul drug bust

On February 24, 2025, security services in Bishkek detained three men suspected of manufacturing and selling drugs in the Toktogul district of Jalal-Abad region. According to the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS), citizen O.U.A. organized a home-made production of hashish in a neighbor’s house in Burakan village, Toktogul district, taking advantage of the constant absence of the owners.

The suspect stored collected marijuana and used various precursors to make hashish for sale. Additionally, he posed as a member of an organized crime group, forced workers from his subsidiary farm to collect hemp and make hashish, and had conflicts with local police officers.

During a search of his house, security forces found and seized 35 kilograms of drugs (hashish and marijuana) along with equipment for their production. Three individuals were detained in connection with the case: O.U.A., E.R.A., and D.N.N. All have been placed in the pretrial detention facility of the SCNS.
