“Potential Friday Fuel Price Drop Brings Good News for Travellers”
On Friday, Hungarian domestic fuel prices are set to drop significantly once again, according to Holtankoljak.hu. The wholesale prices of both petrol and diesel are expected to decrease by 10 forints gross and 18 forints gross, respectively, which is expected to be reflected in retail prices. If this change in price is indeed reflected, the price of 95 petrol could fall from the present 580 to 570 forints, while the price of diesel could decrease from 567 to 549 forints per litre.
Last week, the trade portal issued a forecast suggesting there was a chance of a fall in domestic fuel prices at the wells. Although the price of Brent oil per barrel had decreased by only 50 cents in a week, the forint was still able to strengthen against the dollar. However, the impact of the sanctions or the reduction in oil supply that will come into force from May onwards on oil prices in the short term continued to be questioned.
Some smaller-scale changes are also occurring, affecting public and car traffic in the Hungarian capital. People should be aware of these changes when navigating Budapest. More information can be found on the details page.
