CNN TÜRK Meteorology Advisor Warns of Heavy Rain and Cold Weather Ahead
In a recent statement, CNN TÜRK Meteorology Advisor Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen warned of heavy rain and cold weather in various regions of Turkey.
According to Prof. Dr. Şen, there is rain expected in the Black Sea region, but it will not be heavy. However, heavy rain is forecasted for the Aegean coasts, including cities like Izmir, Aydın, and Manisa, starting from Tuesday morning. The heavy rain is expected to move towards the Inner Aegean by noon and will continue to affect regions from Kütahya to Isparta throughout the day. This one-day heavy rain may result in floods in some areas.
While Istanbul will also experience rain, it is not expected to be heavy, and temperatures are not likely to change significantly. However, cold weather is on the horizon, with temperatures set to drop by 5-6 degrees in the coming week. The drop in temperatures will be more noticeable after Thursday, especially on Friday and Saturday.
Moreover, the cold weather may bring snowfall to the inner parts of the Black Sea region and heavy snowfall to regions in Central and Eastern Anatolia. Eastern Anatolia, especially areas around Bitlis, Muş, Hakkari, and Van, may experience heavy snowfall on Saturday. Snowfall in the Marmara region is less likely, with inland areas having a better chance of seeing snow.
As Turkey prepares for the change in weather patterns, citizens are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during heavy rain and potential snowfall.
