Family Health Center Employees Report Woman Who Gave Birth and Buried Baby Near Honaz Tunnel
The employees of a family health center in Sevindik District reported a disturbing incident to the police after a pregnant woman, identified as Z.Ü (36), failed to show up for a check-up appointment. Following an investigation, it was discovered that Z.Ü had given birth in November.
Upon further inquiry, Z.Ü and Ö.T (37) were taken into custody by the Provincial Police Department Homicide Bureau. According to Ö.T’s statement, Z.Ü had given birth to a stillborn baby at a friend’s house. Subsequently, she placed the infant in a bag and instructed Ö.T to dispose of it, claiming he was the father of the child. The body was then allegedly buried in a field near the Honaz Tunnel.
Despite an excavation conducted based on Ö.T’s information, authorities were unable to locate the baby’s remains.
Z.Ü chose to exercise her right to remain silent during questioning regarding the tragic incident. The case remains under investigation as authorities work to uncover the truth behind the shocking events surrounding the birth and burial of the infant.
