
President Aliyev lays foundation stone for Shalva village in Lachin district

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for Shalva Village
On May 27th, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the village of Shalva in the Lachin district. During the visit, the President was briefed on the plans for the village.
In total, the village will cover an area of 128.8 hectares. The plan is to build 445 private houses, including 130 during the first phase to accommodate 494 families. In addition to housing, the village will have an administrative building, a cultural center, a 264-seat school, a 60-seat kindergarten, a family health center, a market complex and other necessary infrastructure facilities.
The President personally laid a foundation stone for the village, which will be an important project for the region. The creation of Shalva village will provide much-needed housing for families who have been displaced from their homes. The creation of infrastructure will also help to improve the quality of life for those living in the region.
The President’s visit to the groundbreaking ceremony for Shalva village is part of his ongoing efforts to improve the living conditions of Azerbaijani citizens. With plans to build new housing units, schools, and other necessary infrastructure facilities throughout the country, the government is working hard to ensure that all citizens have access to the basic necessities of life.
