President Ilham Aliyev Inaugurates Military Hospital in Kalbajar

On May 27, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan attended the inauguration ceremony of a new military hospital in Kalbajar. The event was also attended by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who reported to the President on the hospital’s facilities.

The military hospital is situated on an area of 3.6 hectares and has a capacity of 180 beds during peace time, with an additional 120 beds that can be added in the event of combat situations. The first treatment building is equipped with modern, fully digital, artificial intelligence-based medical equipment, including a polyclinic, therapy, surgery, anesthesiology, and intensive care units. The second building features units for infectious and skin diseases, headquarters, medical oxygen supply station, laundry-boiler room, checkpoint, and canteen.

President Aliyev was given a tour of the hospital and was impressed by the facilities, which meet the highest standards of modern medicine. The inauguration of the hospital is a significant milestone in Azerbaijan’s healthcare sector, showing the country’s strong commitment to providing high-quality medical care to its military and citizens.

We can only hope that the new military hospital will serve as an example for the rest of the country to follow in taking care of its citizens’ health and well-being.
