President Aliyev Visits Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park and Lays Foundation for New Facilities
President Aliyev Inspects and Lays Foundation Stones for Industrial Projects in Jabrayil
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has inspected the construction progress of various industrial projects in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park, Jabrayil district. He also laid the foundation stones for these projects, including Holcim Azerbaijan OJSC, Az-Tex-Import LLC, and Improtex Karabakh Industrial Complex LLC. Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov briefed the President about the progress of the industrial park.
The implementation of these projects is expected to attract investments worth AZN 32.7 million and create over 420 job opportunities. One of the projects inspected by President Aliyev was the “Auto Leasing Azerbaijan” LLC, which is a joint Russia-Azerbaijan company. The service center will cater to trucks and agricultural vehicles in the industrial park and aims to employ 65 people on a permanent basis from 2023 onwards.
Another project that the President laid the foundation stone for was a ready-mixed concrete and adhesives production plant that will use cutting-edge technologies. The terminal for cement sales will also be established, and the total investment expected to reach 3.74 million manats.
The Az-Tex-Import LLC will be responsible for implementing a truck service project worth AZN 3.8 million. This project will initially involve the provision of truck servicing and, in the later stages, light truck assembly. The total employment opportunities generated from this project will be 25.
Improtex Karabakh Industrial Complex LLC is set to launch a special-purpose equipment and metal products production facility in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park. The company aims to put out more than 100 mechanical demining machines, 100 fire-fighting vehicles, and 300 semi-trailers, creating over 120 jobs.
President Aliyev encourages the employment of local people in these projects. He stated that if the company has experienced employees initially, they should be replaced with trained local staff in a couple of years.
The projects are expected to create numerous employment opportunities in the Jabrayil district, attracting foreign investment and implementing new technological advances in the industrial sector.
