President Erdoğan Promises to Employ 37 Thousand Physicians by 2025
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a visit to Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital in Istanbul to meet with health workers on 14 March Medical Day. During his visit, President Erdogan gave a promising announcement regarding the employment of health professionals.
Erdogan stated, “In the year 2025, as part of the health organization, we will be hiring 37 thousand physicians along with new staff to further strengthen our healthcare system.” He expressed his gratitude to the health workers operating in all 81 provinces of Turkey.
“We have over 1.5 million healthcare professionals in our country, and I want to thank all of them, especially the physicians. These individuals have risked their lives on the frontline and behind the scenes. They have shown incredible dedication and resilience, especially during the pandemic and natural disasters like the February 6 earthquakes. We will never forget their sacrifices and hard work,” Erdogan emphasized.
President Erdogan condemned acts of violence against health workers and reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting and protecting the healthcare sector. He praised the efforts of Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital in the fight against epidemics, noting that these healthcare facilities have played a crucial role in saving thousands of lives.
