President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Emphasizes Importance of Fertility Rate and Health Care System Development
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently spoke about the importance of the fertility rate in Turkey, stating that it is crucial for the survival of the nation. He highlighted that the population growth rate and fertility rate are key factors for the country’s future, urging the public to take action to protect the health of the nation.
During the opening of the Bağcılar Maternity and Pediatric Hospital, President Erdoğan addressed concerns raised about a banner promoting “Natural Normal Birth” at a football match. He clarified that the intention was not to offend anyone, but rather to draw attention to an important issue regarding childbirth.
President Erdoğan also shared updates on the development of the health care system in Turkey. He mentioned that the construction of 11 city hospitals is ongoing, with plans to offer a total of 45 city hospitals with a capacity of approximately 60 thousand beds to the public. The president highlighted the increase in hospital bed capacity and the expansion of the health workforce, including physicians, specialist physicians, and new staff members.
Moreover, President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of modernizing health facilities and providing home health care services to citizens. He stated that over 2 million 840 thousand citizens currently receive home health care in Turkey.
As the country continues to focus on improving health care services and addressing population growth concerns, President Erdoğan’s remarks shed light on the government’s efforts to safeguard the well-being of the Turkish population.
