President Erdoğan strengthens ties with Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently visited Erzurum to attend the AK Party Erzurum Provincial Congress, where he also took the opportunity to visit the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality. The visit followed a Youth Meeting held in Bilim Erzurum, where President Erdoğan was briefed by Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Sekmen on the city’s investments. Erdoğan also met with Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi during his visit.
During the visit, Mayor Sekmen shared his thoughts on social media, saying, “We hosted our Apple of the Eye, our World Leader, our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in our Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality.” He discussed the projects implemented, ongoing work, and future goals of the municipality, expressing confidence in the continued growth and development of Erzurum with the support of President Erdoğan.
Sekmen also highlighted President Erdoğan’s sincere interest in Erzurum and the support he provided, stating that it strengthened their determination to serve the city. He emphasized that Erzurum will continue to be a symbol of unity and solidarity for the nation, thanking President Erdoğan for his kindness and attention to the city and its residents.
The visit is seen as a step towards a stronger Erzurum and a stronger Türkiye, with both President Erdoğan and Mayor Sekmen committed to working tirelessly towards the city’s development and future growth.
