President Japarov and Prime Minister Kishida Discuss Bilateral Relations Over Phone
President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, recently had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, as reported by the press service of the head of state. The conversation took place in light of a recent earthquake in the southwest of Japan, and President Japarov expressed his words of support to the Japanese people during this challenging time.

It is worth noting that a Central Asia + Japan summit, initially scheduled to take place in Astana on August 9, had to be canceled. The cancellation was due to Prime Minister Kishida’s inability to attend the summit, as he had to remain in Japan to address the potential threat of a significant earthquake in the country.
The conversation between President Japarov and Prime Minister Kishida highlights the importance of maintaining strong ties and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan, especially during challenging times such as natural disasters.
