President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev receives official welcome in Beijing
An official welcome ceremony was held on April 23 for President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ILHAM ALİYEV, who is on a state visit to the People’s Republic of China.
President Ilham Aliyev was greeted with a guard of honor at a square decorated with the national flags of both countries. President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and First Lady Peng Liyuan welcomed President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
The delegations of both countries were introduced to each other, and the national anthems of Azerbaijan and China were performed. The chief of the guard of honor reported to the Azerbaijani President, who then inspected the guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev and President Xi Jinping posed for photographs together, marking the beginning of the official state visit between the two nations. The visit is expected to strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and China in various fields.
