President of Turkmenistan Appoints Minister of Foreign Affairs from Tajikistan
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan recently met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirodzhiddin Mukhriddin, who visited Turkmenistan to participate in a meeting between the foreign policy departments of Central Asian states and the European Union.
During the meeting, Minister Mukhriddin conveyed greetings and well wishes from President Emomali Rahmon to President Berdimuhamedov. The leaders discussed the historical and cultural ties that bind their countries and expressed mutual interest in strengthening partnerships.

The opening of a secondary school in Tajikistan and President Emomali Rahmon’s visit to Turkmenistan for the International Forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraga were highlighted as symbols of friendship between the two nations.
