President Removes Envoy from Issyk-Kul Region

Ilyaz Imanbetov Relieved of Post as Presidential Envoy to Issyk-Kul Region
In a recent announcement by the press service of the head of state, Ilyaz Imanbetov has been relieved of his post as the Presidential Envoy to the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. The decision comes as Imanbetov has been appointed to another job, prompting Sadyr Japarov to sign the decree.
Imanbetov had been appointed as the Presidential Envoy to the Issyk-Kul region in September 2022, but his tenure was marred by a reprimand from President Japarov in July 2023 for improper performance of assigned labor duties.
The change in leadership for the region signals a shift in Kyrgyzstan’s administrative landscape, with Imanbetov’s departure opening up opportunities for new leadership to take the reins and steer the region in a new direction. It remains to be seen who will be appointed as the new Presidential Envoy to the Issyk-Kul region and what changes they may bring.
As the country continues to undergo political and administrative transformation, the appointment of new leaders and the reshuffling of roles within the government will shape the future of Kyrgyzstan’s regions. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
