President Ersin Tatar Inaugurates “Fine Arts July Exhibition”
President Ersin Tatar recently opened the “Fine Arts July Exhibition” showcasing works from award-winning academic artists of the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, as well as artists from the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.
During the opening ceremony at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center Exhibition Hall, President Tatar emphasized the significance of the month of July, which includes the celebration of July 20 as Peace and Freedom Day. He highlighted the achievements of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as a fully-fledged state, underscoring the presence of peace and security in the country.
President Tatar also discussed how the universal language of art allows the civilization and spirituality of the Turkish Cypriot people to be shared with the world, emphasizing the role of artworks in bridging the gap between the past and the future.
In his remarks, President Tatar congratulated all the artists involved in the exhibition and extended well wishes to the NEU family for their continued success. The event showcased a diverse range of artistic works, reflecting the cultural richness and creativity of the region.
