President Tatar Wraps Up Talks in Manchester – BRTK
President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is set to conclude his visit to Manchester today and head to London for further engagements.
During his time in Manchester, President Tatar met with Turkish Cypriots residing in the city at a reception. He also held meetings with members of the UK parliament, mayors, and business leaders ahead of the upcoming early elections in England.
Yesterday, President Tatar met with Bury Mayor Khalid Hussain and engaged with local business representatives to discuss the growing investment potential in the TRNC. He emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with the UK, the guarantor country, to enhance trade and investment opportunities, as well as facilitating easier travel for citizens of both nations.
President Tatar expressed optimism that the UK’s potential opening of direct flights and trade routes to the TRNC could boost investment from British business leaders in the region. He believes that such initiatives would greatly benefit both countries and pave the way for increased economic cooperation.
