President Tatar’s Visit to Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation in Baku
President Ersin Tatar and his wife, Sibel Tatar, recently had a meeting with Günay Efendiyeva, the President of the International Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation. The purpose of the meeting was for President Tatar to gain insight into the foundation’s work and initiatives.
The meeting took place at the foundation building in Baku and was attended by TRNC Baku Representative Ufuk Turganer. During the meeting, President Tatar expressed his gratitude for being able to visit Baku on a significant date for Azerbaijan. He also mentioned that the people of Azerbaijan have warmly welcomed them and expressed their support for the Turkish Cypriot people and the TRNC. President Tatar further revealed that Azerbaijan’s President, Ilham Aliyev, has also shown his support for them.
President Tatar also discussed the 30th anniversary gala concert of TURKSOY, which they attended. He shared his admiration for the success, unity, culture, and richness of the Turkish world showcased during the event. President Tatar expressed his sincere appreciation to the Azerbaijani people for their warmth and emphasized the concept of “One nation, three states,” believing that Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the TRNC can strengthen each other.
Furthermore, President Tatar expressed his hope that this unity and solidarity would extend to other Turkish states. He noted that Turkish unity has grown stronger since the Nakhchivan agreement and will continue to strengthen with the help of the Organization of Turkish States. President Tatar emphasized that the TRNC and the Turkish Cypriot people are an integral part of the larger Turkish nation, and they deserve greater acceptance and recognition.
President Tatar also expressed his gratitude to Günay Efendiyeva for her close hospitality and thanked her for her support. Efendiyeva, in turn, highlighted the historic days that the TRNC is experiencing in Azerbaijan, specifically mentioning President Tatar’s meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. She also congratulated President Tatar on the successful hosting of the “TRNC Culture and Promotion Days” in Baku.
Concluding his visit to Azerbaijan, President Ersin Tatar and his delegation will be returning home tonight. The meetings and discussions held during this trip have further strengthened the bond between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the TRNC, paving the way for future collaborations and mutual support.
