Presidential Election Advances to Second Round, Says CHP Spokesperson – Last Minute Turkey News
The presidential elections in Turkey have resulted in a second round after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan failed to secure a vote of confidence from the nation. The announcement was made by the CHP Spokesperson, Faik Öztrak, who stated that the elections were in the second round. “For the next 15 days, we will do our best to bring right, law and justice to this country,” said Öztrak. “We will win. The winner will be democracy, the winner will be Turkey.”
According to Öztrak, almost all of the ballot boxes have been counted, and only around 300 ballot boxes from abroad have not been counted yet. However, he added that these will not change the result either. The heartening part is that the participation rate is close to 90 percent, which is pleasing for our democracy. The efforts of our ballot box committee members, school informatics officers, observers, lawyers, and all volunteers who received the wet signed minutes waiting for the ballot boxes until morning are beyond all appreciation.
The CHP Spokesperson thanked everyone who went to the polls and voted yesterday. “We are sure that they will show the great sacrifice they showed until the morning on May 28, and that they will ensure that not a single game of our nation is wasted,” he said. For the next 15 days, the CHP will do its best to bring right, law, and justice to the country. The will of the nation is above all else, and the Nation Alliance will take the lead. The winner will definitely be democracy, and the winner will be Türkiye.
