President Aliyev and President Minnikhanov Visit Village of Aghali in Zangilan District
Zangilan, June 17 – President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Rustam Minnikhanov of Tatarstan recently visited the village of Aghali in the Zangilan district. The visit was part of their tour to assess the progress and developments in the region.
During their visit, President Aliyev and President Minnikhanov toured the village of Aghali by electric carts, allowing them to interact with the residents and experience the village firsthand. Aghali has been the new home for 86 families, totaling 420 people, who were resettled as part of the Great Return initiative.
President Aliyev and President Minnikhanov took the opportunity to meet with the residents of Aghali and engage in conversations with them. The residents warmly welcomed the leaders and expressed their gratitude for the improved living conditions and opportunities provided to them.
One female resident said, “Nice to see you, welcome. Thank you, Mr. President. May Allah protect you!” Another woman mentioned that it was her granddaughter’s birthday and requested a photo with President Aliyev, to which he graciously agreed. The residents also expressed their pride in having President Aliyev as their leader, describing him as a world leader and wishing him continued success.
The visit to Aghali highlights the ongoing efforts of the Azerbaijani government to support the reconstruction and repatriation of its citizens in the recently liberated territories. The Great Return initiative aims to restore normal life to these areas and provide opportunities for displaced families to return to their homes.
