President Sadyr Japarov has arrived in Moscow, responding to an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to participate in the ceremonial events commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The announcement was confirmed by the press service of the head of state.
Upon landing at Vnukovo-2 International Airport, President Japarov was greeted by Alexander Pankin, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.
During his arrival, Japarov was presented with historical reprints of two newspapers, Kyzyl Kyrgyzstan and Pravda, both published on May 9, 1945—marking the date of the original reports on the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
As part of his visit, President Japarov is scheduled to participate in the prestigious anniversary Victory Parade on Red Square, alongside other foreign state and government leaders. Notably, a parade unit from the National Guard of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan will also be featured in this significant event, symbolizing the longstanding camaraderie and historical ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
