Proposed Legislation Led by BRTK’s Administrative Affairs Committee for General Assembly Approval

The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic has unanimously referred several important laws to the agenda of the General Assembly. The Committee first focused on the “Draft Law on the Preparation of the Port Workers (Service Regulation) Law” and the “Department of Port (Establishment, Duties and Working Principles) (Amendment) Draft Law”, unanimously deciding to refer them to the General Assembly.

Representatives from the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation and the Turkish Cypriot Port Workers Company shared their insights during the meeting. The Committee then moved on to discuss the “Draft Law on the Appointment of Public Officials Acting (Amendment)”, sending the bill to the General Assembly after completing its third reading.

Furthermore, discussions continued on the “Draft Law of Social Services (Establishment, Duties and Working Principles)”, with plans to further deliberate on the matter in the upcoming meetings.
