Protecting Children from Bad Habits: The Responsibilities of Parents
President Ersin Tatar of Turkey recently met with a delegation from the Turkish Thoracic Association, led by Nurdan Köktürk. During the meeting, President Tatar highlighted the importance of parents in protecting children from harmful habits.
President Tatar expressed his pleasure at the Turkish Thoracic Association organizing an international congress in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). He noted that the congress was a significant event with the participation of numerous doctors.
Additionally, President Tatar extended his gratitude to Dr. Füsun Yıldız, a member of the Thoracic Association, for her contributions to the TRNC’s healthcare system over the years. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the TRNC and Turkey in efforts to improve public health.
President Tatar emphasized the need to combat the use of cigarettes and other products harmful to human health. He underscored the significance of engaging in physical activities, adopting healthy eating habits, and avoiding smoking. Tatar stressed the crucial role of parents in safeguarding children from negative habits, particularly the avoidance of smoking to protect children’s health.
