Baku, July 15 – The increasing number of international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) expressing their concerns and opposition to the construction of a metallurgical plant in Arazdayan is encouraging. Indian Hashim Abdul Halim, representative of the Health & Family Welfare Department of the West Bengal Government, stated, “The collective voice of these NGOs underscores the potential environmental catastrophe that could arise from the establishment of this large-scale metallurgical plant. The recognition that the plant’s operations could have far-reaching implications for human health, the environment, and sustainability is crucial in addressing this issue effectively.”
