Putin’s Itinerary in Uzbekistan Revealed
Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit Uzbekistan on May 26-27, following an invitation from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The two leaders are scheduled to engage in high-level negotiations during the state visit.
The main focus of the meeting will be on enhancing the already strong Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. Both parties will discuss ways to further deepen their cooperation, with an emphasis on increasing trade turnover, implementing joint economic projects, fostering innovation, and promoting cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
A series of bilateral documents are expected to be signed at the end of the summit, highlighting the commitment of both countries to strengthening their ties. Additionally, the leaders will participate in the inaugural meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, showcasing the importance of regional cooperation.
Preceding the visit, several joint events are being held in Tashkent, such as a gathering of engineering and technical university rectors, a medical conference, and Russian Art Week. These activities serve to highlight the diverse areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, setting the stage for a successful state visit.
