
Qatar and Bishkek in talks for direct flights between capitals

A Kyrgyz Delegation Visits Qatar to Discuss Aviation Cooperation
A recent working visit by a delegation from Kyrgyzstan, led by the Director of the State Agency for Civil Aviation Dastan Bostonov, took place in Qatar at the invitation of the Kyrgyz Embassy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service confirmed the visit.
During the visit, Director Bostonov held bilateral meetings with key figures in Qatar’s aviation sector, including the Minister of Transport, Mr. Jassim bin Saif Al-Sulaiti, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Mr. Mohammed bin Falih Al-Hajiri, the Director General of the Qatar Aeronautical Academy, Sheikh Jabir bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Vice President for Aviation Policy of Qatar Airways, Mr. Fathi Ati.
Discussions during the meetings revolved around the establishment of regular direct flights between Bishkek and Doha in the coming months, as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise in aviation, particularly in the training and development of young aviation professionals.
The Qatari officials expressed their keen interest in enhancing aviation cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and indicated their readiness to inaugurate direct flights between the two capitals in the near future.
Following the fruitful negotiations, both sides agreed to maintain close collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of the agreements reached during the visit. This promising cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar bodes well for the future of the aviation industry in both countries.
