The England international will now miss the upcoming LaLiga matches against Girona and Real Betis as Madrid plans to appeal the decision. Bellingham was shown a red card by referee José Luis Munuera Montero in the 39th minute of the game at El Sadar, with Madrid in the lead at the time. The referee’s report mentioned that the midfielder had insulted him during the game.
Following Bellingham’s dismissal, Osasuna went on to score an equalizer in the second half through a Budimir penalty. The draw meant that Real Madrid dropped crucial points in the LaLiga title race.
