Record-Breaking Visits to National Palaces’ Museums
During the recent 9-day holiday period, historical sites and museums under the National Palaces umbrella witnessed a significant influx of visitors. According to the official statement released by the National Palaces, a total of 326,531 individuals explored Topkapı Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, as well as other historical pavilions and museums between April 5-14.
Topkapi Palace, renowned for its historical significance and architectural beauty, attracted 147,353 visitors throughout the holiday. The palace, which saw a record-breaking day with 21,974 visitors on the 3rd day of the holiday, welcomed an average of 18,500 visitors daily.
Dolmabahçe Palace, a stunning monument showcasing memories from the Ottoman and Republican eras, saw a total of 60,223 visitors during the holiday period. The palace experienced its busiest day on the 3rd day of the holiday, with 11,132 individuals exploring its grandeur.
The National Palaces Painting Museum, representing Ottoman painting heritage, garnered attention from 21,931 visitors in Beşiktaş. Ihlamur Pavilion, nestled in the heart of Beşiktaş, Yıldız, and Nişantaşı, hosted 11,790 individuals.
Beylerbeyi Palace, the exclusive palace on the Anatolian side, attracted 20,135 visitors, while Küçüksu Pavilion welcomed 11,115 guests. The Museum of Islamic Civilizations (IMM) welcomed 23,435 visitors during the holiday, offering a unique blend of technology and cultural wealth.
Additionally, the Beykoz Glass and Crystal Museum, displaying exquisite glassworks from the National Palaces collection, saw 9,676 individuals exploring its treasures. The Ankara Palace Museum, a newly opened museum preserving its original structure, drew 14,442 visitors during the holiday.
