Record Gas Delivery: Saltuk Duzyol Supplies over 77B Cubic Meters to Turkey and Europe

TANAP Supplies 77.6 Billion Cubic Meters of Gas to Türkiye and Europe
The Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) has successfully supplied a total of 77.6 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye and Europe since the start of commercial operations. This remarkable achievement was highlighted by Saltuk Duzyol, the CEO of TANAP A.Ş., during recent ministerial meetings in Baku as part of the Consultative Councils on the Southern Gas Corridor and Green Energy.
Duzyol emphasized the significant role that TANAP plays as a key link in the Southern Gas Corridor, being the longest segment of the system at 3,500 km and the widest in diameter.
He stated, “Since the commencement of commercial operations on June 30, 2018, TANAP has been operating reliably and safely. The pilot operation phase began on June 30, 2020, with an annual supply volume of 5.7 billion cubic meters. To date, we have delivered 32.2 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, including 6 billion cubic meters under a flexible schedule and nominations.”
Furthermore, Duzyol reported that commercial gas deliveries to Europe commenced on December 31, 2020, with the commissioning of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
“The pilot phase of exports to Europe started on January 1, 2022. Since then, we have been supplying 10.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually via TAP. The total volume of gas deliveries to Europe has now reached 45.38 billion cubic meters, including 4.4 billion cubic meters transported under a flexible schedule and nominations,” he added.
The success of TANAP in effectively transporting natural gas to Türkiye and Europe underscores the importance of the pipeline in strengthening energy security and cooperation in the region.
