Reduced Interregional Flight Prices Set to Take Off in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek to Reduce Prices for Interregional Flights Starting September 2024
In an announcement made at a press conference in Bishkek, the Chairman of the Board of Manas International Airport JSC, Manasbek Samidinov, revealed that prices for interregional flights will be reduced starting from September this year.
Samidinov highlighted the fact that regional airports are in need of subsidies and that the expansion of runways entails significant costs. He also pointed out that private companies independently determine ticket prices, making it difficult for the airport to influence the pricing.
In a bid to lower the costs of interregional flights, Manas International Airport has acquired two new aircraft and will be launching its own airline. Samidinov mentioned that the prices will be gradually reduced, as foreign pilots will be brought in to operate the new aircraft, leading to additional expenses.
Despite the additional costs, Samidinov assured the public that ticket prices for interregional flights will not exceed the current rates. The reduction in prices will be done gradually to ensure a smooth transition for passengers.
Overall, the move to lower prices for interregional flights is seen as a positive development that will benefit travelers in Bishkek and beyond.
