Orange Alert for 13 Provinces: Regional Precipitation Warning!
July 10, 2023 – The northern, central, and eastern parts of our country are experiencing partly cloudy weather. There are showers and thunderstorms in the Black Sea region, the south and east of Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Central and Eastern Mediterranean, and the surrounding areas of Bingöl, Muş, and Bitlis. Other areas can expect less cloudiness and clear skies.
Heavy precipitation is expected in the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions, the coasts of Sinop and Kastamonu, the Kayseri, Niğde, Erzincan, and Ardahan areas, as well as the north and west of Sivas and the northern districts of Erzurum. These areas should exercise caution as the rainfall is expected to be intense.
The air temperature is estimated to decrease by 2-4 degrees in the inner and eastern parts, while other regions will experience minimal changes. The wind is generally coming from the north, but in the eastern parts of the country, it is light from the south, occasionally becoming moderate. In the Southern and Coastal Aegean regions, the south and east of Central Anatolia, and the west of Eastern Anatolia, the wind is expected to blow from the northern directions at speeds of 40-70 km/h, resembling a storm.
A Strong Rain Warning is in effect for the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions, Sinop and Kastamonu coasts, Kayseri, Niğde, Erzincan, Ardahan, Yozgat, Sivas, and Erzurum. Citizens are advised to exercise caution and be prepared for adverse weather events such as floods, heavy rainfall, lightning, and transportation disruptions.
A Strong Wind Warning is in effect for the Southern and Coastal Aegean regions, the south and east of Central Anatolia, and the west of Eastern Anatolia. Strong winds blowing from the northern directions (40-70 km/h) are expected, and people should be cautious of any potential negative impacts.
