Registration Open for “Police Public Run”
Police Public Run to be held in Nicosia
As part of the “Police Week Celebration Events” to celebrate the 59th anniversary of the founding of the Police Organization, a 10-km “Police Public Run” will take place in Nicosia on Sunday, June 18th, at 07.00. The race is free of charge and is open to all. Registrations are still open until 17.00 on Friday, June 16th.
The starting and ending point of the race will be the protocol entry of the General Directorate of Police, and a map of the running route as well as three water stations along the way will be provided. All athletes will receive a participation medal at the end of the race, and those who rank first, second and third in the general classification will receive a trophy along with their medals. The award ceremony will take place at 10:00 at the Police Headquarters.
Age categories have been established, with participants aged 18 and over competing in the general classification. Other categories include ages 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 and over. Winners in each category will be awarded a medal.
Chest numbers for the race will be distributed on Saturday, June 17th, between 09.00 and 17.00, at the Athletics Federation building in Nicosia Atatürk Stadium.
