Renowned Turkish singer and actor Ferdi Tayfur passed away on January 2, 2025, after receiving treatment at a private hospital in Antalya.
Ferdi Tayfur, who was residing in the Marmaris district of Muğla, fell ill and was hospitalized on December 15. At the request of his family, he was transferred to Antalya where he underwent sinus surgery. Despite continued treatment, the artist’s condition did not improve and he ultimately succumbed to organ failure.
Having previously undergone a kidney transplant from his son in Antalya in 2020, Ferdi Tayfur thanked his doctor and appeared well just days before his passing. His legacy as a master artist lives on through his extensive work in music and film.
