Coastal Safety Rescues 5 People from Stranded Boat
The General Directorate of Coastal Safety recently announced on their social media account that they successfully rescued 5 passengers from a stranded boat. According to the statement, the boat, which was 12 meters long, experienced a machine failure and was dragged off the coast of Kınalıada. Luckily, the passengers were able to call for help and the KEGM-4 fast-rescue boat was dispatched to assist them.
Thanks to the quick response of the rescue team, the passengers were safely retrieved and the boat was towed back to Kalamış Marina. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper equipment maintenance and emergency preparedness when navigating the waters.
