Rescued: Landscape Architect Ece Gürel Found Safe
The missing 36-year-old woman, Ece Gurel, who disappeared in the Belgrade Forest in Kağıthane Gültepe Neighborhood, has been found by search and rescue teams. It was reported that Gurel was found safe and sound in the forest, bringing an end to the four-day search.
According to reports, Gurel went missing on Sunday, March 2, prompting her relatives to alert the authorities. Various search and rescue teams, including the police, AFAD, UMKE, AKUT, and district municipalities, joined forces to locate her. The Istanbul Fire Brigade Sualtı Search and Rescue (ISAK) divers also participated in the search efforts at the Governor of the Sultan Sultan Bendi.
During the search operation, Gurel’s mobile phone and some personal belongings were discovered in the Belgrade Forest, confirming her presence in the area. Surveillance camera footage from an IETT bus captured Gurel entering the forest, providing crucial information for the search teams.
The news of Gurel’s safe return was shared by her wife, Sezer Gurel, expressing gratitude to the search and rescue teams for their efforts. The community is relieved and thankful for the successful outcome of the search operation.
