Retirement Bonus: Deadline and Formulas for Catching Up
Millions of pensioners are eagerly awaiting news on when they will receive their feast bonuses. A proposal to increase the bonuses from 3 thousand pounds to 4 thousand pounds has been accepted by the Plan Budget Commission in Parliament. However, the proposal still needs to go through the general assembly stage before it can be finalized.
The General Assembly is set to reconvene on March 25th at 15.00 to discuss and potentially pass the proposal. If all goes smoothly and the proposal is approved by the President, pensioners could receive their increased bonuses by the end of the week.
There is a possibility that the bonus payments could be delayed if tensions in the Assembly persist and the working order cannot be achieved. In this case, pensioners may receive the initial 3 thousand pounds before the feast, with the additional thousand pounds being deposited after the feast once the Parliament regulates the payment.
AK Party sources have indicated that the likelihood of this delay is low, and they are working to ensure that pensioners receive the full 4 thousand TL bonus before the feast. Eyes will be on the General Assembly sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday for updates on the bonus payments.
