Legalization of right-hand drive cars to begin in Kyrgyzstan on March 1, 2025

The legalization of right-hand drive cars will commence in Kyrgyzstan on March 1, 2025, as announced by Deputy Marlen Mamataliev at a meeting of the Yntymak parliamentary faction.
The process of legalization will be carried out in two stages. During the first stage, cars that possess the required documents and are in good technical condition will be legalized. Subsequently, during the second stage, cars that are in good technical condition, but lack the necessary documentation, will also be eligible for legalization. It is important to note that defective cars will not be considered for legalization.
Furthermore, the deputy emphasized that there is an existing ban on the importation of right-hand drive cars into Kyrgyzstan. It is prohibited to import such vehicles into the country.
